Alfred B. Grandison, was born on January 5, 1960 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Mr. Johnnie B. Grandison and Mrs. Geneva B. Grandison. He is the 3rd oldest of six siblings. He made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ at the age of 14 years old, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Chesapeake, Virginia. Al began his public ministry at the age of 15 years old in Macedonia Baptist Church. Under the pastoral leadership and mentorship at Macedonia Baptist Church he taught and preached the Word of God. After graduating from high school, Al recognized the need to further prepare for ministry. He studied at Liberty University and earned a B.S. degree in Pastoral Ministries. He then went back to Macedonia Baptist to become the Associate Pastor. Al worked in the ministry at Macedonia teaching , preaching, and directing the outreach ministries of the church. After serving as Associate Pastor at Macedonia Baptist Church, Al continued his ministerial studies at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in which he earned a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Studies. While attending seminary he continued to serve the Lord teaching and preaching. He also served at Second Saint Paul Baptist Church as an Assistant Pastor. Al then entered the military as an Air Force Chaplain. As a Air Force Chaplain, he served as Pastor to military members and their families in Arizona, Hawaii, and California. After leaving the military Pastor Grandison earned a Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
Over the course Al’s pastoral and teaching ministry in the states and overseas, as a civilian clergy and military chaplain, he has impacted the lives of many with his compassion and understanding. He has served as a professor and adjunct professor for various seminary and colleges. He has also had the priviledge of conducting seminars and conferences across the country. He has served as a keynote speaker for various church functions. Pastor Grandison is currently the Pastor of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church located in Jacksonville, Florida. He pastors and directs this ministry which serves the local community with the love of Christ. He also works and serves in the community as a Family Therapist/Counselor.
